                      17th June 1915 - 21st April 2020

  On  Tuesday 21st April 2020, one of the longest serving members  Mrs Jenny Gray, passed away peacefully at her home, in Stanhope aged 104yrs.
Jenny was a well loved, respected and an inspirational member of the Stanhope Photographic Society, a friend to all she met, and considered all the member's of the Club as part of her family.
Jenny celebrated her 100th birthday, with an informal tea in St. Thomas's Church Hall, Front Street Stanhope,  members past and present and friends helped her  to celebrate the occasion.

           Nine Clubs took part in the Inter- Club  Battle the Judge for the competition was Mr. Jim Welsh LRPS. who                        was impressed by the high standard of the work submitted for judging.
           1st.           Stanhope Photographic Society.
           2nd.         Washington
           3rd.          Consett.
           Trevor Woods (EFIAP, APAGB)  gain maximum points (30) for his image 'Grey Heron Nesting'

2018 - 2019 SEASON

On Friday 24th November 2018, the Society entered the 'Wear Area Inter-Club Battle' held at Washington Camera Club, a total of nine clubs entered the competition which was judged by Mr. David Coates (ARPS;EFIAP/p; ESFIAP; PSAEPSA; MPAGB; APAGB)
The images entered received marks between 20 and 30 points.
The winning club was Durham with a total of 162points, 2nd with a  total of 154 points was Washington Camera Club.
​Stanhope gained a credible 3rd place with a total of 153 points.
